Brenda Lehman, Ph.D.

Brenda Lehman is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Kansas, where she completed specialized training working with individuals and couples, in group therapy, and in mindfulness. Additionally, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Dr. Lehman further specialized in Motivational Interviewing, a technique to help clients identify their own readiness for change and best options for making changes in their lives. Dr. Lehman previously worked at the NorthShore University Health System Medical Group as a cognitive-behavioral psychologist and as a psychologist for the Department of Veterans' Affairs before co-founding Alliance Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. Dr. Lehman’s clinical work focuses on the treatment of anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress, adjustment issues, couples/relationship concerns, and health-related issues, including health anxiety, coping with chronic and acute health conditions, and women’s health issues, especially as related to pregnancy, postpartum, and perimenopausal concerns.

Liza Guequierre, Ph.d.

Liza Guequierre is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin Madison and trained at the Wisconsin Psychiatric Institutes and Clinics, working with adults throughout the lifespan. During her rotations, Dr. Guequierre specialized in treating those suffering from trauma, stress, and relationship and identity concerns. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Edward Hines VA Hospital where she provided care to trauma survivors and those struggling with anxiety and health concerns. In order to further her growing interest in integrating mindfulness principles into her clinical work, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in mindfulness-based individual and group psychotherapies at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Guequierre was a Visiting Staff Psychologist at the University of Illinois at Chicago before co-founding Alliance Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. Dr. Guequierre enjoys working with those needing help with stress management, self-esteem issues, people-pleasing, perfectionism, anxiety/worry, and intrusive/obsessional thinking or OCD. She hopes to teach her clients to be more mindful and attuned in their daily lives and relationships.
